Hezbollah mourns the death of Wissam Tawil.

Known as “Jawad”, Tawil was a deputy head of a unit in the elite Radwan force and played an important role in Hezbollah's recent confrontations with the Israeli army.

Mr. al-Tawil’s role in Hezbollah was not immediately clear.

Said Al-Tawil, director of Al-Khamisa news agency, killed by an airstrike on a residential building on Oct. 10.

The trip to Bir Tawil from either Egypt or Sudan covers hundreds of kilometres across remote, rugged desert terrain.
