A statement, attributed to owners David and Julie Creasey, was posted on the tearoom's Facebook page, informing customers of the decision to close the tearoom and explaining the "months of uncertainty, worry and constant stress" they had been through.

Husband and wife team, Dottie and Russell Blakey, from Upwell, will be jointly running the existing pub and tearoom with long standing landlady Kay Butler who has been at the helm of the pub for the past six years.
