A dozen days of positivity in Chatham-Kent came to a close Sept. 13, with a Thamesville woman walking away with $10,000 in cash and travel vouchers, and someone walking out before their name was called.

The Thames River is still rising in Chatham-Kent, and municipal officials warn there could be some serious flooding today in Thamesville.

The Thames River overflowed its banks, reaching a high-water peak in Thamesville early Saturday morning, and it later peaked in Chatham that night, rising about 17 feet above normal, and flooding several streets through Chatham’s core.
