One Tesco store in Theydon Bois, Essex, has started this new practice following a series of basket thefts.

The dad-of-four is now receiving treatment at a central London hospital, as onlookers disclosed how he'd lost grip of his car and veered into trees in Theydon Bois, Essex.

Dielhenn, of Theydon Grove, Woodford Green, east London, denied causing grievous bodily harm with intent but was convicted by the jury, he claimed he was trying to defend himself.

The 'Theydon' part, shared by two other local villages, comes from Old English phrasing for a valley where thatch work was common.
