Toadstools

Autumn is a time of mushrooms and toadstools and a walk in the woods at this time of year is bound to provide an opportunity to spot some of these amazing life forms.

The toadstools are found near the southern boundary of the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.

And so the image of the fly agaric became very common in Victorian literature, especially associated with faeries and little people sitting on mushrooms and toadstools.
