The All Progressives Congress, APC gubernatorial candidate in Rivers State, Tonye Cole has deleted a post on his verified Facebook page congratulating the president-elect, Bola Tinubu over his victory at the Saturday’s presidential election.

The protesting candidates are Sen. Magnus Abe of the Social Democratic Party, Tonye Cole, All Progressives Congress, Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs, Accord and Tonte Ibraye, African Democratic Congress.

He said the winners of the election are Vincent Reuben Obu – Abua/Odual, Chibudom Ezu – Ahoada-East, Mr Iyekor Ikporo – Ahoada-West, Mrs. Tonye Oniyide – Akuku-Toru, Lazarus Gogote Nteogwuile – Andoni.

President-General, Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Mr. Adewale Adeyanju, represented by the union’s Deputy President-General, Mr. Tonye Harry, commended APM Terminals for the investment and for improving port services in Nigeria.

At this stage, the Rotimi Amaechi faction, led by Tonye Cole, sought to join in suit but were refused by the Appeal Court on the grounds that they were not parties at the trial court.

Speaking at the graveside, Prince Tonye Princewill, who spoke on behalf of the family, told a large cross section of the media that we were all witnessing the passing of a giant to the great beyond.

The fourth edition of Odd Talks takes place at Odd Society Spirits (1725 Powell St.) on Monday, August 26, welcoming incredible singer-songwriter Tonye Aganaba who will be sharing her experience of being black in Vancouver.

Others defendants in the suit included Prince Tonye Princewill, Sekonte Davies, Emeka Beke, secretary of the APC in the State and Lawrence Chuku.

The commendation was made during a courtesy visit by the leader of the organisation of Rivers Ijaws and member representing PHALGA Constituency 2 in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon Tonye Adoki, in London, recently.

The question remains: what has Tonye Cole that Tam-George praised to high heavens added to Rivers State?
