It was the first series of more were soon to follow on Toonami.

Although, for many American fans who only watched "Dragon Ball Z" when it aired on Toonami, Yamcha's death may've come across as pretty humorous (in the sense that he's a guy who talked a big game yet immediately got owned in combat).

As your typical non-manga-reading, mainstream-anime-watching child of Toonami, I drew a line in the sand a few episodes into when I first gave it a chance.

Toonami shared a touching tribute to Akira Toriyama ahead of their Dragon Ball Z Kai marathon!

The other Toonami exclusive is the anime adaptation of which was originally a manga done by the Japanese master of horror Junji Ito.

The series is also currently airing new episodes of the English dub on Adult Swim's Toonami programming block.

Toonami has had a large thumbprint in American late-night television over the years.

To possibly attract a larger audience for the series, Toonami chose to air the anime's English dub months after the anime concluded in 2015.

SVP and Creative Director of Adult Swim, and Toonami co-creator, Jason DeMarco responded to the fan inquiries on Twitter and not only gave fans a detailed explanation of the issue, but also gives fans hope that the issue will be fixed going forward.

To several Toonami watchers, there is no better and that is for good reason.
