ASTANA – Kazakhstan’s national carrier Air Astana, Kazakh Tourism national company and the Korea Tourism Organization signed a trilateral memorandum to expand cooperation in the tourism sector, Air Astana’s press service reported on April 24.

In 2021, recognizing the immense potential of rural tourism in the country, the Ministry of Tourism of India formulated a National Strategy and Roadmap for Development of Rural Tourism.

To lead that effort, the Ohio Chamber recently hired former Ohio Tourism Director Matt MacLaren as its new Director of Travel and Tourism Policy and created the new Ohio Chamber of Commerce Travel and Tourism Committee, which Matt will help lead.

Also in support of its Tourism Destination Management Plan, Snowmass Tourism is soliciting feedback from tourism industry partners and stakeholders through a survey.

Currently, the UN Tourism Best Tourism Villages Network brings together 186 members globally, comprising 129 recognized as Best Tourism Villages and 57 villages taking part in the Upgrade Programme.

The awards are organised by MWT Cymru (Mid Wales Tourism), with backing from the Mid Wales Regional Tourism Forum and Visit Wales, the Welsh Government’s tourism team.

The Tourism Malaysia-supported Climbathon was organised by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment, Sabab Tourism Board (STB), Sabah Parks and Sri Pelancongan Sabah Sdn Bhd.

Major highlights for the week will be the Tourism Linkages Network’s ‘Pop up Kitchen’ and Fashion Show on September 25 at the PANJAM Breezeway in New Kingston and the Tourism Career Expo and Concert to be held in Kingston on World Tourism Day.
