Now the new updation in the Smart Attendance app will make it clear and the said date will be treated as a Holiday.

The government on Tuesday made it clear that no document will be collected during the updation of the National Population Register (NPR) and providing Aadhaar number during the exercise is only voluntary.

The state government had ordered a stay on all activities connected with updation of National Population Register (NPR) in the state on December 20 last year.

The strike by 10 central trade unions comes amid unrest in many campuses and protests across the country over the new citizenship law, nationwide and NPR updation exercise.
