And the fact that that even within the Disney pantheon, Ralph and Vanellope feel like kind of misfits.

As previously reported, Baby Groot - once again voiced by Vin Diesel - makes an appearance in one of the movie's funniest scenes when Vanellope interrupts a Marvel Q&A at Oh My Disney where Groot is fielding questions from the crowd.

At the end of the first “Ralph” movie, the truth comes out: Vanellope is a princess in exile.

Between its newer princesses like Vanellope herself, Moana, and Tiana, Disney’s been getting better about challenging its productions’ ideas about female strength, but Ralph Breaks the Internet is about more than just those characters.

But the best part of Wreck-It Ralph 2 really is the story of growth between Ralph and Vanellope.

I left wanting to see more of Vanellope’s adventures on the internet.

It's a litter overwhelming, like the Internet itself is to Ralph and Vanellope at the start, but while the characters find their footing eventually, viewers may be left feeling exhausted by the visual overload.

Once Ralph and Vanellope arrive in the internet and dig deeper and deeper into the landscape, they begin to question their own lives and how happy they actually are in them.

Ralph Breaks the Internet (PG): Six years after the events of “Wreck-it-Ralph,” Ralph and Vanellope, now friends, discover a wi-fi router in the arcade, leading this into a new adventure.

Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 will see Ralph and Vanellope von Schweetz venturing into the internet six years after the events of the first movie so they can find a replacement part to fix the Sugar Rush game.

Since Vanellope is quite the skilled racer herself, she will face-off against Shank and leave the leading video game character crazy impressed.

So, when the story team came up with the idea of Vanellope visiting Oh My Disney and that all of the princesses would be there, my team was always on the same page about it being the coolest idea we’d ever heard, with them wearing shirts and sweaters.

Their primary goal is to save Sugar Rush, Vanellope's game, but that takes them all over the net, from eBay to becoming viral stars to a lengthy stopover in Oh My Disney.

What Ralph does to Vanellope goes way beyond him having an epiphany that you could argue he already had in the previous film, but it’s glossed over for a happy ending to her detriment.

While that first film kept Ralph (voiced by John C. Reilly), Vanellope von Schweetz (Sarah Silverman) and Fix-It Felix (Jack McBrayer) squarely in a physical arcade building, the sequel is aiming straight for cyberspace.
