The choice of Governor Tambuwal was unanimous as all the governors in attendance at the party’s 88th National Executive Council (NEC), which held at the PDP National Secretariat, Wadata plaza, Abuja, resolved and appointed him as their chairman.

Abubakar, who is also the Chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, made the appeal in his Wadata Palace in Bida, Niger State, during the Bariki Sallah celebration to mark the end of Eld-el-kabir on Saturday.

The Governor visited the Wadata Plaza headquarters of the opposition party in Abuja with his supporters on Thursday evening to pick his form for the race.

This is coming after the January 3 lockdown of the state capital from Wurukum to Wadata mainly by the National Association of Benue State students.
