Jeep plans on producing the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer in metro-Detroit next year.

Tuesday was a huge day for Fiat Chrysler and for the state of Michigan, as the former announced a planned $4.5 billion investment in manufacturing in the latter, in part, to build a three-row Jeep and a new Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer.

Then in 2022, an entirely new Wagoneer was released, based on the Dodge Ram chassis.

With other towing aids, plus ample interior accoutrements, the Grand Wagoneer L will join its similar luxury peers in the status lane wherever you wish to use it.

Is the Jeep Wagoneer 4WD?

Jeep claims the Wagoneer S is capable of traveling up to a respectable 300 miles on a full charge.

Sold in Reserve and various Black Label trims, it’s a competitor for the Cadillac Escalade, GMC Yukon, and Jeep Grand Wagoneer.

The Grand Wagoneer concept will have an “advanced electric vehicle powertrain” and a “zero-emission, near-silent driving experience,” according to documents seen by Bloomberg.

The Grand Wagoneer was delivering everything you need decades ago, and doing it with a handsome, distinctively American ruggedness and, at the same time, refinement.
