Bringing Yennefer of Yengerberg to life on the screen is no small task.

Cersei and Jaime from Game of Thrones and Yennefer and Geralt from The Witcher are only two of the most problematic couples in fantasy TV shows.

Choosing to romance Triss in The Witcher 3 offers a sweeter and smoother relationship compared to Yennefer, but Triss has less screen time, fewer romance scenes, and a shorter questline.

Going into season 3, must see Yennefer at her best to make up for the lost time and bad decisions.

However, it's the basis of the second season for Netflix's compelling and steamy series, centers on characters previously introduced, such as Yennefer and Ciri, fans who want to start this journey should check out these short stories.

Season three part two of the hit show stars as Geralt of Rivia, as Yennefer of Vengerberg, as Princess Cirilla of Cintra, as Jaskier, and more.

The first volume releases on June 29 and follows our monster hunter on a quest to protect his adopted daughter of sorts, Ciri (), with help from the powerful sorceress Yennefer ().

The mages are still mad at Yennefer for choosing not to execute Cahir (), a decision that shattered the trust of the Northern Kingdoms in the Brotherhood.

The main cast include Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg, Freya Allan as Princess Cirilla “Ciri” of Cintra, and Joey Batey as Jaskier.

The rise and fall of the events were satisfying, which is something that cannot be said for season 2. Certain aspects of the story were dragged out to the point of being boring (like Fringilla and Yennefer's adventures together).

To explain to Ciri how dangerous it can be to interfere with fate, Yennefer takes the girl to her place of birth, showing her the horrors she had to endure.

Yennefer struck a bargain with Voleth, the Deathless mother, and exchanged Ciri in return for her power.

Yennefer was willing to give her life in order to save Ciri during a terrifying confrontation with Voleth.

And Yennefer's disdain for structures like the Brotherhood and for routine put her in the perceiving category.

As it is, Yennefer pretty much defeated Nilfgaard on her own.

Ciri finds an enchanted forest and Yennefer uses her magic to cause some chaos.

Even in Episode 5, when Yennefer first meets Geralt, she glances to Jaskier and hopes he's "just a friend," so the thought was there!

Francesca would then help create the Lodge of Sorceresses and "invite" Yennefer to join its ranks.

Geralt's main love interest, Yennefer of Vengerberg, provides some twisted, swoon-worthy, and sometimes heart-breaking scenes that give the show its own, unique flavor of unconventional romance — and of course, the side characters have their moments too.

If Season 2 does stick close to the source material (and it likely will), then the next season will follow the arc in the novel where Triss calls on Yennefer to help train Ciri ().
