Origin of the stage names The stage names of the brothers (except Zeppo) were coined by monologist Art Fisher Joe Adamson, Groucho, Harpo, Chico and Sometimes Zeppo: A Celebration of the Marx Brothers New York: Simon and Schuster, 1973.
